I am Buying the Naturally Healthy and I'll Take the Combo

So there are so MANY diets out there. Many claim to be the cure all. Some say look this can cure type 1 diabetes. Of course I have observed many of these diets I have children with autoimmune disorders and I want to do everything I can for their health protect it maintain it and if at all possible revers anything that can be reversed. There is a MAJOR issue though many claim the same thing but are completely opposite of one another. We have the raw foods with there claim and the vegetarian and the Atkins diet and now the palo diet. All saying they are THE one. They all have success stories. So if we cut out meat that will change everything then we have those who say more meat no carbs. Anyone else seeing an issue??? How can that be??? Which is right??? Can both be right??? Maybe it is what they have in common that works?! More veggies and less processed foods and cutting down or out the obvious "bad" for you foods and the ambition for change. Oh and don't forget exercise. I have looked into the raw diet. My children need carbs yes my diabetic children NEED carbs yes low carbs but not no carbs or else they will end up with low glucose and become ill. My diabetic children don't need to lose weight they need to gain weight. Another "diet" I have looked into is the McDougall diet which is pretty much a vegetarian diet. They are into lots of carbs. Lots of carbs do not sit right for me and my family. Although he claims this is great for diabetics. Really have to research that one more. Then there is no meat. I often like to look back to our holy bible to see what they did. Didn't Jesus feed the multitude fish? Are we really needing to cut out all meat?! I don't believe so, but there is the amount and the right kind of meat. The clean meats that I would stay with. Then the new fad the palo diet. Many of these "diets" are older diets with a new name or a little twist from the one before. This says yes to meat it appears even ANY meat. And no pasta's. My observations more meat and any meat does not sit right with me. Though with a little critiquing this might be great. Though ALL do have great area's of benefits so I think with a little critiquing all these would be the way to go. Another thing about all these diets has little to no focus on young children. How will these diets work for those young children in those growing years and then add a young picky diabetic lots of things to factor in. I am not writing these to down play any of these diets I am sure we can learn from all of them and I do encourage more study in each diet as I will further look into these diets as I critique them to fit my family. Which leads me to combine many using their common denominators and keeping my children s health issues and the little ones picky eater mentality in mind also Seeking God for provision for HE is the giver of life. Our creator who knows us and knows what we need. So will always keep the Holy bible handy with the diet bibles.....So here we go again I am buying the Naturally Healthy and I will take the combo. :)

Simply pondering along the way.... Last night we visited a new congregation for the second time. We started going to this one because their services are Friday nights. Which is so helpful to my husbands work schedule. He is off every Friday night. When he does work, he works the late night shift so he is a night owl. So night services on Friday works out great for us. Service was wonderful and very moving!! I look forward to coming again and this time with our children. I have gone to many different denominations throughout my life and believe that each one has played an important roll in my life as we journey along. I am grateful to be where I am at and for where we have been. G-d was moving in our lives in each and every one, teaching and growing us. We have met many wonderful people and have learned much, I pray we continue to learn and grow. This is our second congregation that we have gone to that studies our Hebrew roots. Lots of changes along the way, lots of growing and a lot more growing to do, though HE ALWAYS remains the same....G-D with us.....HIS name(who HE IS) The I AM......HIS name IS ..."Hallelujah he lives in me the very one who brought the SON back to life"
